FEBRUARY 15, 2009/DALLAS / FORT WORTH - A joint fire training exercise was held on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Dallas Fort Worth Rail Terminal in Arlington, Texas. The purpose of the exercise and training was to familiarize the Arlington Fire Department with the terminal’s state of the art foam fire delivery system. The Dallas Fort Worth Rail Terminal offloads over 7,000 tank railcars annually of bulk liquid ethanol for use in gasoline blending. “This system at our Dallas Ft Worth Rail Terminal is highly advanced and the training represented a time where we could host the fire department that would respond, should there be a need, at the rail terminal” said Ron Percival, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for the Dallas Fort Worth Rail Terminal. “We take pride in our people and our dedication to safety. This was an opportunity to give our emergency responders firsthand experience on this system”.
The Dallas Ft Worth Rail Terminal is owned by Dallas Fort Worth Rail Terminal, LLC, a company which is part of the U.S. Development Group of companies. The U.S. Development Group companies are engaged in rail logistics terminalling, as well as designing, developing, owning and managing large-scale ethanol rail logistic centers throughout the United States.
