Develop a Joint Accident Prevention Plan for 2009

 at the Dallas Fort Worth Rail Terminal, LLC

JANUARY 28, 2009/DALLAS – The joint project consists of taking a continuous improvement approach to preventing railcar related incidents. This plan utilizes a system of identification markings, clearance points, distance checks, and end of track markers used when delivering and picking up rail cars at the terminal. The system was customized to fit the Dallas Ft Worth Rail Terminals operations plan by both the UP and USD. The layout was completed in January of 2009, and has already had a positive impact on Union Pacific Rail Road crews servicing the terminal.
